Department of Kriya Sharira
Kriya Sharira (Ayurveda Physiology) is a fundamental subject in the study of medical sciences. It deals with the study of the human body concerning its physiological norms i.e. the functioning of the human body in its normal state.
The department deals with the basic concepts, knowledge and applicability of Tridosha Sapta Dhatus , Malas , Prakirti , Mana , Nidra , Oja etc .The etiopathogenesis of a disease cannot be fully understood without a subjective and objective assessment of Dosha, Dhatu, and Mala. Thus, this subject forms the foundation for a proper understanding of Ayurveda and is crucial for medical students to comprehend other preclinical and clinical subjects effectively.
Mission:
- To impart theoretical knowledge explaining the physiology of each system through charts, models, skill labs, PPT’s and different practical activities including group discussion to get perfection of each system.
- To integrate disciplines to understand the functions of individual systems within a whole organism and the mechanisms that produce and sustain life.
- To Integrate the knowledge with contemporary human physiology for a deeper understanding of the body’s functions.
- Additionally, the objective is to inspire the students in acquiring and enriching knowledge, skills and to encourage them to embrace human values in their career and life.
