Shishyopanayanam 2019

Dhanvantari Homa was held in Sushruta college premises around 7.30am and students recited Dhanvantari Beeja Mantra while the Homa was going on and purnaahuti was given around 9.00am.

Shobha yatra was held from Mangal mandir to samskriti bhavanam involving Guests, faculty and students.

Formal induction ceremony/Shishyopanayanam began with Vaidika Mangalacharana by the 4th year students Keertana and Kavana followed by Invocation song from Archita, Arpita and Sreenidi patil.

Introductory Speech was delivered by Dr Raghurama Bhatta U (Principal, SAMC). Sir introduced the Dignitaries by giving a brief introduction about their designation, position, achievements, awards and accolades etc.

Dr B R Ramakrishna (Vice Chancellor, S-VYASA, Director -SAMC) delivered the welcome Address.

Lighting the lamp which is a part and parcel of ceremony was done by all the dignitaries of the stage namely Prof Banwarilal gaur, Smt Champa devi Sharma, Vaidya Deo Pujari Jayant Yeshwant, Dr Ramachandra Bhat Kotemane, Dr B R Ramakrishna, Dr Raghurama Bhatta U, Dr Vasudeva Vaidya, Dr Alok Roy, Dayanandswamy etc.

Oath Addressing was done by Dr Champa Pant (Prof, Dept of Koumarabhrithya) and Dr Vanishree (Prof, Dept of Shalakya Tantra, SAMC) which was followed by 1st year BAMS students.

Shloka chanting was done by all students batch wise one after other.

Guru vandana was performed by Dr B R Ramakrishna (Vice Chancellor, S-VYASA, Director –SAMC and Dr Raghurama Bhatta U (Principal, SAMC) to Prof Banwarilal Gaur (Former Vice chancellor, SRRAU, Jodhpur ) and Srimati Champa Devi Sharma followed by felicitation.

All teaching faculty of SAMC and 1st year BAMS and nursing students received blessings of Guru Prof Banwarilal Gaur by offering flowers to his feet on the stage meanwhile, annual report distriubution was done by Dr Alok Roy (Prof, dept of Basic Principles, SAMC) to 1st year BAMS students.
Prof Banwarilal Gaur (Former Vice chancellor, SRRAU, Jodhpur) delivered chief guest address. Sir emphasized the significance of Shishyopanayana and magnitude of Guru shishya parampara paddati.

Vaidya Deo Pujari Jayant Yeshwant sir was Guest of Honor. He was felicitated by SAMC management followed by his Guest of Honor Speech. Sir conveyed his best wishes to the newly admitted students for the course.
Audio visual message of Dr H R Nagendra (Chancellor, S-VYASA) was played which conveyed best wishes to the newly admitted students of BAMS and Nursing college.

Presidential Address was delivered by Dr Ramachandra Bhat Kotemane (EX-Vice Chancellor, S-VYASA).

Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Vasudeva Vaidya (Administrative Officer,SAMC)
The program got concluded by Shanti mantra, cultural events from students of SAMC and National Anthem.

Anchoring was done by Dr Renuka (Assistant Professor, Dept of Basic Principles,SAMC) and Dr Soumya (Assistant Professor, Dept of Roga Nidana and Vikriti Vijnana).
