Introduction
The research department of our institute is named PRAMA, which stands for Promoting Research & Adaptive Methodologies for Ayurveda. In Ayurveda, the term Prama signifies “true knowledge,” aligning perfectly with the essence of research and discovery.
Mission
PRAMA provides all the departments in our institute a platform where a collective effort to promote global awareness and acceptance of Ayurveda through scientific research takes shape. By providing full-fledged support to all the research related activities in the institute and the research department, it aspires to create a conducive environment in the institute to undertake innovative, evidence-based research. Whether it is undergraduate research projects, postgraduate dissertation work, faculty research projects, conduction of training programmes for Institutional ethics committee members or conduction of national and international conferences, the research wing of SAMC & H provides required support to all research related activities.
Vision
PRAMA intends to foster a culture of ‘inquiry’ and ‘seeking answers to the unknown’ among all. Under the aegis of PRAMA we aspire to conduct pioneering research that enhances the understanding, efficacy, and application of Ayurvedic principles and practices, while integrating modern scientific methodologies.
