Department of Ayurveda Samhita, Siddhanta and Sanskrit:
Samhita, Siddhanta and Sanskrit department aims at imparting the knowledge of Samhita (classical texts) such as Charaka Samhita, Ashtanga Hridaya etc.
Samhita, Siddhanta and Sanskrit department emerges as the root through which the other branches of science evolve. As the Samhitas are written in Sanskrit, in order to understand and comprehend the meanings of the Shlokas in Samhita, this department is involved in teaching Sanskrit to propagate authoritative knowledge about Samhita.

Department Initiatives:
Samhita, Siddhanta and Sanskrit department helps the students to learn and grow by hosting a number of Webinars and Seminars. The department seeks to increase students’ knowledge and provide them with the skills necessary to succeed as both academicians and physicians. We focus on imparting the essence of the subject by introducing and familiarizing them with Ayurvedic literature. Initiatives have been taken to successfully conduct competitions like Quiz, Poetry, Shloka recitation, Skit competition etc. Events like Charaka jayanti, Guru purnima are celebrated in order to provide the pupils with a better understanding of the historical background of Ayurveda.
