From the Desk of the Principal
Ayurveda, the timeless science of life, has been a cornerstone of healthcare for centuries, originating from India and offering a holistic approach to health. Unlike modern medical systems that often focus on isolated treatment of symptoms, Ayurveda emphasizes the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit, offering a comprehensive path to wellness.
Today, with over 350 Ayurveda colleges across India, the education system is guided by the curriculum set by the National Council for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM). However, as we move forward, it is essential to blend this traditional knowledge with the latest advancements in research, medicine, and technology to ensure that Ayurveda evolves in harmony with the times.
At Sushrutha Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Bengaluru, we are committed to offering a Shastra-based education that balances ancient wisdom with modern innovations. Our goal is not only to nurture top-tier Ayurveda professionals but also to focus on the holistic development of our students, preparing them to excel in their practice and contribute meaningfully to society.
We are proud to announce that we are now an A Grade accredited institution by the QCI-NABET-MARBISM, and we have secured the 7th position in Karnataka and 21st position nationwide for the year 2024. This recognition reflects our commitment to excellence, and we strive to continue improving every year to further strengthen our position and offer the best in Ayurvedic education.
In addition, we have recently launched two post-graduate courses in Dravyaguna and Kayachikitsa, aimed at providing in-depth knowledge and specialized training in these crucial branches of Ayurveda. These courses are designed to empower our students with the expertise required to become leaders in the field.
With a dedicated and experienced faculty, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and a diverse patient base from across the country and beyond, our students gain invaluable clinical experience and practical skills. They also have access to a broad range of research opportunities that can help shape their careers and expand their knowledge in the field.
Our mission is to preserve and promote the core principles of Ayurveda, empowering our students to become skilled Vaidyas who can lead the way in restoring Ayurveda to its rightful place as the primary healthcare system, not only in India but globally.
Let us embrace and live Ayurveda, working together towards universal health and well-being for all, forever.
"Ayurveda is not just a system of medicine, but a way of life—where health is a balance of body, mind, and spirit, and healing is a journey of restoring harmony within."
