The Department of Prasoothi Tantra Evam Stree Roga in Sushrutha Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital has a complete focus on providing Shudhha Ayurveda treatment to all women starting for menarche to menopause.
Ayurvedic treatment for various gynaecological disorders like Anartava (amenorrhoea), Artava Kshaya (oligomenorrhea), Artava Dushti (Abnormal menstruations), Asrugdhara (DUB), Vandhyatwa (Infertility), PCOD/PCOS (Beeja Granthi), Kruchra artava (Dysmenorrhoea) and other disorders are provided. Obstetric related conditions like Garbhadana vidhi (pre-conception care), Garbhini Paricharya (Antenatal care), Sootika Paricharya (Postnatal care) and other treatments are provided for pregnant women. Various Ayurvedic procedures like Uttara Basti, Kshara Karma, Yoni Prakshalana, Yoni Pichu, Anuvasana Basti etc, as a part of treatment are being performed.
Mission:
- To provide complete care to all women starting from menarche to menopause with shudha Ayurveda treatment and regimens.
- To reduce all the unwanted life-style disorders caused due to improper regimen, by following and educating all women about Ayurvedic classical regimens, such as rutu charya, garbhini Paricharya, soothika Paricharya and others.
- Begetting high quality offspring by following Garbhadana samskara.
- Treating various disorders of gynaecology and obstetrics by using classical Ayurvedic preparations in contrast to contemporary Allopathic medication to reduce its side effects.

- To see that all the women in every household are well aware of Ayurveda treatment and therapies aimed at promoting overall wellbeing and its efficacies in various disorders.
- Educating all women about the benefits of various Ayurvedic medicines in contrast to contemporary Allopathic medication.
