Introduction to Department:
Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana (Ayurveda Pharmaceutics) mainly deals with the preparation of medicines of herbal and mineral origin, their varieties, characteristics, different processing techniques, properties and their therapeutic usages along with the description of various apparatus, different kinds of furnaces, heating devices and heating schedules.

A small quantity of drug could be made most potent either by adding drugs or deleting them. Time factor, grinding, heating etc procedures will also help to enhance the therapeutic efficacy of the preparation.
A pharmaceutical procedure of any drug involves various steps starting from identification and collection of authentic raw material, application of Standard Operative Procedures, production of quality drug to packing and storage of produced drugs (Ex: Churna, Vati, Gutika, Guggulu, Taila, Ghruta, Avaleha etc.)
Mission:
The mission of Ayurveda Pharmaceutics is to promote and integrate the principles of Ayurveda into modern pharmaceutical practices.
We aim to establish a well equipped GMP certified pharmacy and manufacture safe, effective and consistent high quality ayurvedic medicines by adopting Standard Operative Procedures to promote holistic health and well-being of mankind. Expanding and Establishing a Post Graduation Department will help conduct extensive research work on modern dosage forms and promote the manufacture of innovative ayurvedic formulations.
We aims to bridge the gap between ancient and modern pharmaceutical science by offering quality medicines of solid, liquid and semi-solid dosage forms to provide best holistic healthcare solutions. To manufacture high quality ayurvedic medicines and to make them accessible and affordable for people worldwide, contributing to global health and wellness.
Vision:
The department of Ayurveda pharmaceutics endeavours to provide quality education by adopting innovative teaching methods as well as practical aspects in order to develop students skills in teaching pharmacy. To make the students efficient to practice ayurveda and to promote them to establish Ayurveda pharmacy to provide holistic, natural and effective healthcare solutions by adopting ayurvedic principles. We aspire to establish a benchmark for integrating traditional knowledge with contemporary healthcare needs.
